Getting into headstand requires upper body strength

Classical headstand , Salambra Sirasana was referred to as the king of all yoga postures by ancient Yogis.  I love teaching this pose ( asana) as it turns your world upside down and gives you new perspective. It also stimulates your crown chakra (Sahasrara).

To get into this pose we do a lot of upper body strength and core strength postures. Although the headstand is called this way , there is hardly any weight on your neck/head most of the weight comes on the upper body.
