The Power of Yoga



Yoga can provide a doorway into a new perspective in a way that other forms of exercise do not.  In Western society you often hear people saying how stressed they feel and how overwhelmed by circumstances whether in their personal, financial or professional lives.  

In Eastern philosophy the focus is more internal.  According to Buddha 'the mind is everything. What you think, you become.'  This idea encapsulates the hidden power within yoga practice.  Prepare the body to transform the mind and you will transform your life.  

Yoga gives us this transformative power to change our perspective.  You prove this to yourself every time you practice yoga.  Before your practice you carry heavy thoughts like stones weighing on your mind binding you to a negative, fearful or anxious perspective.  After class you feel light as a feather as if you, not your thoughts are free to create and determine your life and your future.

Remember the gift of yoga when you are feeling at your lowest.  Heal yourself with its tremendous power to lift and free you of the monkey mind and live fully in the moment.
