Why do you practice yoga? When was the last time you really thought about why you choose yoga? Do you see it purely as a workout? Is it just great exercise and a good stretch all in one?  Do you like the variety that yoga offers in terms of styles and classes? 

It is easy to get into a routine of practicing yoga without really thinking about what we are doing and why... but being more conscious about the many powerful  benefits of yoga can make our practice far more useful to us by focusing the mind and our intention on what we hope to gain from our practice.

In the month of May I will be blogging about the specific benefits of different asanas to relieve or prevent illnesses, injuries and diseases.  I believe Yoga is powerful medicine that can provide defenses against illness and injury as well as therapy and healing if you are suffering from mental, physical or emotional issues.  

I will also be showing the benefits of combining yoga with other holistic therapies and nutritional advice to help you optimize your health and well being. My goal is to create a yoga community that shares knowledge and experience supporting one another to lead more meaningful, joyful and loving lives.
